This is not the same as cancelling your subscription
Cancelling Pro or Team in Google Play does not delete your account or your data — it only changes which features and limits apply. Your records stay where they are and you can keep using ExpensesHub on the Basic plan. Use this page only when you actually want your data removed.
Option 1 — In the app
Open Menu → Settings → Delete account. The screen asks you to type a confirmation phrase (DELETE in English, حذف in Arabic, ELIMINAR in Spanish), then records your deletion request and shows you a pending status card. We review every request before any data is removed. You can cancel the request from the same screen at any time while it is still pending.
The success copy is honest on purpose: when the screen says "Your deletion request was received", your data has not been removed yet. Removal happens after the review and grace period described below.
Option 2 — By email
Email us directly — this works whether or not you can still open the app:

Body: Include the email address associated with your account so we can locate and delete it.
What gets deleted
- Account credentials — your email address and password hash in our authentication store.
- Your records — expenses, income, fuel records, categories, employees / drivers, vendor history.
- Workspace memberships — your row in any workspace where you're a member. If you are the sole owner of a workspace, that workspace and its data are removed too.
- Avatar image — if you uploaded one to our cloud avatars storage.
What stays (briefly) after deletion
- Email log metadata — minimal records of email deliveries (recipient, timestamp, success/failure) are retained for short-term deliverability troubleshooting and then purged.
- Aggregate, non-identifying counters — for example, "X scans were performed in April" without any link to your account.
What stays on your device
- Local receipt images — if you saved photos to your phone gallery or an external folder, those copies are not removed by the deletion request. Use your device file manager to remove them if you want them gone.
- Exported PDF / CSV reports — any report files you've shared, saved, or emailed remain wherever you saved them.
Time to complete
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within a few business days and complete deletion within a reasonable period. You'll receive a confirmation email at the address on file once it's done. Some records may be retained where required for legal, billing, fraud prevention, security, or audit purposes — see our Privacy Policy for the full list. Deleted data may also remain in encrypted backups for up to 60 days until backup rotation completes, subject to legal, security, or billing retention exceptions where permitted or required by law.
Before you delete — consider exporting
If you'd like a copy of your records, open the app's Reports screen first and export Custom Reports as PDF or CSV. Once an account is deleted, we cannot restore it.
